Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a historic city that plays a significant role in the broader context of Chinese civilization. Its unique status and vibrant culture contribute to its importance within China. The formal launching of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Hong Kong took place in May 1996 after Shaykh-ul-Islam's first visit to the city. The contributions of the Pakistani and Muslim communities at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre have been exemplary, as the centre is known for its welfare-oriented, moral, and spiritual programs. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visited Hong Kong in both 1996 and 2000 and recently in August 2024, further strengthening the ties within the community.
