Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, stated that the concept of a welfare state emerged from the State of Medina, with equality and brotherhood forming the basis of Islam's economic system. He said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ established a welfare economic system based on mutual support and public care under the framework of "Mawakhat-e-Madina" (brotherhood of Medina), ensuring that no one went to bed hungry.

He highlighted that Islam has prohibited usury to protect ordinary people from economic exploitation. Women were given a legal right to inheritance to improve their economic conditions. Islam’s economic system safeguards the common man from exploitative practices and ensures welfare and prosperity.

Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views during a special intellectual session with Minhaj-ul-Quran scholars. He emphasized that the development and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah lie in adhering to every aspect of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He urged Minhaj-ul-Quran scholars to inspire youth during their outreach and training programs to fulfill their religious obligations and instill a love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ in their hearts.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has embarked on a month-long organizational and outreach visit to Europe. During this visit, he will address Seerah Conferences, engage with the Pakistani community, and deliver various training sessions to Minhaj-ul-Quran’s officials and members in Norway, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Denmark.
