Minhaj-ul-Quran international Lahore chapter organized the "Imam Hussain (A.S.) Birth Anniversary Conference." Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Imam Hussain (A.S.) dedicated his life to protecting the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and fighting against oppression, ultimately embracing martyrdom in this struggle. He said that every moment of his blessed life serves as a guiding light. As Muslims, it is our duty to align our religious lives with the thoughts and philosophy of Imam Hussain (A.S.).

The conference was attended by scholars from different schools of thought, religious leaders, political and social figures, and thousands of men and women, including members of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri highlighted an often-overlooked aspect of Imam Hussain’s (A.S.) life—his practical contributions to society. He said that through his knowledge, piety, sacrifice, and devotion, the Imam provided a practical roadmap for the Muslim Ummah.

The MQI President further stated that Imam Hussain’s teachings emphasize truth, trust, courage, honor, and standing firm against falsehood. Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he said, is actively working to revive the values and character of Imam Hussain (A.S.) among the youth.

"Dr. Qadri has exposed the oppressive nature of Yazid’s rule and revived the Hussaini (A.S.) spirit of truth and justice. He has also delivered extensive scholarly contributions on the love and reverence for the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) family (Ahl-e-Bayt), which will continue to guide seekers of truth for generations," he explained.

Upon Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri’s arrival in Bata Pur, Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore officials and members welcomed him warmly, showering flowers in his honor.
