Closing Ceremony of 2025 Training Course Held Under the College of Shariah

Deputy Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Engineer Rafiq Najam, addressed the closing ceremony of the Annual Islamic Training Course 2025 held at the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, Lahore. He stated that this course holds immense significance for the education, character development, and religious understanding of the youth. He said that the syllabus was uniquely designed to integrate religion, ethics, language, computer skills, public speaking, and modern knowledge within a short period — a true reflection of Minhaj-ul-Quran's educational vision.

He emphasized that education alone is not enough; without proper training, a person's character remains incomplete. Through this training course, students developed intellectual maturity, religious insight, and moral awareness. Congratulating the teachers, organizers, and participating students, he said that this course will serve as a guiding light in their future lives.

Principal of the College of Shariah, Dr. Mumtaz-ul-Hassan Barvi, also addressed the gathering, stating that it is a special blessing of Allah Almighty that the students dedicated their precious time to acquiring religious knowledge. He added that we must continue the scholarly legacy of our predecessors and adopt religious education with a strong sense of character, noble action, and truthfulness.

Among the attendees were Nazim-e-Imtihanat (Chief Examiner) of Nizam-ul-Madaris, Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi; Director of Training, Mohebullah Azhar; Dr. Khalil al-Azhari; Hafiz Sajid al-Azhari; Dr. Muhammad Parvaiz Bilal (Course Coordinator), along with other respected teachers and academic personalities. Dr. Parvaiz Bilal thanked all the guests and presented a detailed overview of the course.

The training course ran for three weeks starting from 16 June, during which hundreds of students participated. Subjects taught included Qur’anic recitation (Qira’at), beliefs (‘Aqaid), Hadith, Fiqh, English and Arabic languages, computer studies, public speaking (Khutbah), and the life of the Prophet (Seerah). In addition, practical training activities such as etiquette in speech, naat recitation, and oratory sessions were also conducted.

The teaching faculty for the course included Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Jami, Dr. Muhammad Khalil al-Azhari, Hafiz Sajid al-Azhari, Jameel Haider al-Azhari, Rao Saadullah al-Azhari, Azeem Ahmad al-Azhari, Syed Ahmad Shah, Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Hafiz Muhammad Tayyab, Muhammad Qaseem Sajjad, Muhammad Boota, and Ali Hussnain.

At the end of the ceremony, awards were distributed among students who excelled in Qur’anic recitation, naat recitation, and speech competitions. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer led by Director of Training, Mohebullah Azhar.
